Teacher Workshop Just Around the Corner

Great News! We're still accepting Teacher Workshop Registration Forms for our October 14, 2009 Workshop! >More Info. Here<

Our workshops are designed to familiarize educators with our educational program, Primary Source Seminar, and to provide teachers with resources and valuable training in primary source use in the classroom.

This fall, we have put together an entirely new program we think you will enjoy. In addition to sharing information about the Primary Source Seminar, we plan to include a student seminar activity simulation, a source-use methods activity, and a digital archival resources demonstration among other activities. As an attendee, you will also have time to closely examine authentic, unedited eighteenth- and nineteenth- century manuscripts from our own Lloyd W. Smith Archival Collection.

If you and your students would like to participate in Primary Source Seminar or if you'd like to learn more about integrating primary sources into your lesson plans, please sign up for our free fall workshop.

Student teachers and social studies education majors are also encouraged to attend!

The Primary Source Seminar Teacher Workshop is a full day workshop and counts toward 6 professional development hours.
