Presidential Resources: The Miller Center of Public Affairs

The Miller Center of Public Affairs is an immensely valuable resource for those studying presidential history.

The American President component contains presidential biographies, speeches, and links to presidential sites and libraries (and primary documents). Listed speeches include transcriptions, and some of the more modern ones include audio and video recordings.

The Miller Center has made available the digital recordings from the
Presidential Recordings Program, a collection of recordings by American presidents of both political parties (between 1940 and 1973), which includes links to virtual exhibits and lesson plans.

The
Presidential Oral History, also available online, is a collection of Carter, Reagan, George H. W. Bush, and Clinton oral histories. It is hopeful that presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama and future presidents will take part in this project.
